A Vegas-style casino resort for $1B will be opened this summer in west Toronto.

The New Casino Resort
The new casino resort will be located at the intersection of highways 401 and 427 in Toronto. This was stated by the leading Canadian gaming and hospitality company Great Canadian Entertainment. The opening is planned for this summer, but there is no official date yet. It is estimated that this Vegas-style resort cost $1B to build and open.
The Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, as it will be officially named, is spread over 33 acres. It will include a hotel with 400 rooms and a 5,000-seat entertainment venue, as well as dining options to resemble a true resort complex.
According to the Canadian Casino Resort Toronto's official website, it will feature more than 4,800 slot machines, and the selection will include both penny slots and higher limit games; and over 145 table games, including traditional ones such as baccarat, blackjack, roulette, and the less common Mississippi Stud and Casino War.
Influence on Ontario District
The opening of the new Great Canadian Casino Resort will impact the entire province of Toronto. The area will be established as one of the destinations offering a lot of gaming content concentrated in one place. However, this will not affect the operation of the already existing Casino Woodbine.
